Progress about the farm

Well it's been over 2 months since my reporting in on our progress on the farm so here goeth....
Ben has been here full time basically, since mid December and I followed New Years Eve....
I had to await for the truck to arrive to take our belongings up here.
The truck booked was for 30square meteres.......it was my luck that the driver arrived with a 75 sq.as he had a large load to take from QLD to Vic.....wouldn't you wanna know it , the truck was chokers full and couldn't take any more.......
You see the photo of the big barn Ben had built....well it's full.....lol and there is some in the house...lol
I dont know how I had all that in the small house in Sydney.
The first room to be completed here in the house was our room.....Ben painted it mostly by himself with little help from the neighbour.
His first task to do when the truck arrived was get the carpet tiles off the truck & lay them on our bedroom floor......the tiles are like a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces fits snuggly into each other.....
The instruction left was that ALL furniture was to be placed in the big shed until we ready...........
Well wouldn't you wanna know it, when I arrived New years Eve...here was all this furniture & boxes all stacked and I mean stacked & blocking every inch of the large verandah we have....
some wee leprachaun thought other wise and had them placed there....gggrrrrrr
here the majority remains as the renovations are still not complete.
We have now managed to move some in, like the computor desk and some smaller items but we still dont have the TV unit in place.
It's a slow slow process,
whom ever made up the phrase, rome wasn't built in a day, knew what they were taking about.

Further progress to our lives

Well here it is nearly 2 months since I purchased the laundry.
It's been a wee bit tough but not disastrous "yet"
Tough in as much as I haven't worked since 2006 and I am left exhausted by the end of the day & week.
All through January it has been extremely humid and is hard to work in those conditions.
I started weighing 90kgs....and now down to 84kgs...not a bad thing to lose that weight but has played havoc on my back. But I am adjusting well
Ben goes and opens the shop on Sundays to allow the public access to the machines.
I have a roller door that comes down to close off my section where the big industrial commercial dryers and rear of shop are then the public has access to 4 washing machines & 4 dryers.
A security guard comes at 8.00 pm to turn off the lights and lock up for me every night.
I am yet to know if I can draw a wage....as all monies are banked.
I am unable to determine at this stage if I can retain any monies from the machines with out declaring them.
It's not in my best interest right now to do that....as I have out goings to pay.
One good decision was that we open our section to the public for service on Saturday mornings.
before I took over, my section was closed......goodness knows why they chose to only work 5 days a week......
February is noted to be a slow month so here's to hoping things pick up this month of March and onwards........
There are a lot of activities around Grafton from here on in, in the areas of sport etc.......
stay tuned.......
